 Meandering Morning Mood ∞

My brew’s gone cold,
I question why

I doubt
Myself
So much

The wind
Keeps howling
Out that window,

And I can’t hear at all

Even if I could
It would all be noise
But the mirror
On the wall

It reminds me
That it’s not so mad
It’s no so sad

And you just
Didn’t come

That’s pretty puzzling, bro

We waited in the incensed

and you just,

didn’t
come

The wind

Out

  1. This is whoaa…you took us to this wonderful journey through this vignette. I wonder what it reflects but there’s like a bold statement somewhere. I’m reading it again just so you know, and it still is that whimsical under the skin poems. Sad but upbeat (if that’s a thing?).
You really seem to brew some amazing poetry. The best part is that it’ll ne’er go cold.
    So cheers to that.

    • whoa – that’s a great reaction to get!!

I’d actually been thinking about good old Eminem’s Stan song (are you familiar with it – he’s a great master wordplayer?) and mashed it up with dreams, memories, and some recent spooky real-life episodes of mine. Then it was Sunday and I was feeling extravagant so I ventured into the Stone’s and and 70s pop kistch as well.
Got an interesting pastiche it seems!
the WHOA – still superb feedback to get here 🙂

      • sorry Shanyu posted my reply too fast – besides the whoa reaction (which i LOVED) i was also thrilled to read you like my poetry so much – grateful you are reading me!!!! 🙏

      • Konichiwa.
Eminem’s dope! You heard of ‘lose yourself?’
Now I get it. It’s amazing how various instances influence poetry. It is upbeat for sure. Infact reading it with a beatbox now😁

      • I am sorry for the delay getting back to this inspiring comment 🙂 And yup – “losing yourself”. That’s the attitude I guess if you really want to be true to yourself. Even if that means you may sometimes get hurt.

It’s amazing how various instances influence poetry.
        🙂
Couldn’t have said it with better words.
        Take care,
        Anna

  2. Hi, just wanted to say that I nominated you for The Real Neat Blog Award. No need to do it though if it’s not your thing. Stay safe!
