The Argonauts

Poetry
We traveled
To the Moon,
And back.

We lost our sense
Of time, we
Crashed.

About to land
Still silenced,
Them.

Our darkened words,
So troubled,
Were.

A turn did not
We want to
Take.

The verse,
That shiny song,
That ache.

Forget me not
Big girls don’t
Cry.

Our darkened words,
Still silenced,
Bright.

They found
Their way,
As dust they
Float.

In space
We walked
That winding
Road.

And silenced thoughts
Darkened our
Dreams.

To Sun too close
Should not be
Seen.

Our troubled mind,
Pompeii-style,
Congealed in ashen
Fields.

A third eye dart,
And then you explode,
With magic stars and
Wings.

Come hither
little Argonaut,
Tonight,
We’ll let life
Stream.

Forget me not,
For girls don’t cry,
They chant,
The travel,
Dream.

We’ll do this voyage
Reverse sense,
To Earth
And then,
To lunar
Gleam.

In space
We hummed,
We chanted,
Still.

About to land
We craved to
Sing.

Forget me not
For girls don't
Cry.

The troubled mind
Pompeii
Style.

And silenced thoughts
Darkened our
Dream.

Tonight,
We’ll let life,

Stream.
