Happy Glimpses

Poetry
The saddest eyes
I’ve ever seen
A smiling boy
Those smoking sins

A cigarette butt
Stabbed the wall
The standing soul
Those happy glimpses

Like darker cells
That spread,
Unknown

Till far away
They reach
The horizon

Like fool,
Like foe,
Like friend,
Sad fear

Like darker cells
That spread,
Unknown

A cigarette butt,
Stabs the wall
The standing soul
Those happy glimpses

The smoking sins
Once happier eyes
A cry inside
Those gloomy stanzas

Don’t fade away,
My smiling boy,
Your sad,
Sad eyes,
Those starlit glimpses

The saddest eyes
I’ve ever seen
A smiling boy
And starlight
Glitter

Like clear cells
That spread,
Unknown,

A Smile, inside,
By pink light
Brightened

Don’t close them yet,
My smiling boy,
Your sad,
Sad eyes,
To happy
Glimpses

  1. This is very beautiful. I absolutely love the repetition of some of the lines. It gives the poem a very likable rhythm.
