                    Damn his hunger
                    For fast food
                    Callow words
                    And easy
                    D e a l i n g s

When all I fancied
Was slow-cooked,
Spicy lines,
And complex

Lavish bloom,
Pompous, charming,

                    While I did…cherish?
                    Relish! Stand!
                    By tender fire,
                    Prosaic,

  1. Wow, the imagery of a ‘pyre of fast delights’ is brilliant VB. So happy to be reading something from you again my lovely friend.
