a subtle feeling
of r e m i n i s c e n c e
one she barely cares about—
immersed as she seems
in undressed a p a t h y

a l i t h e creature
starkly pictured through
mindless streams

“the Queen is
d e a d”—
old whisper.

she lowers her eyes,
p l a y i n g ignorant
to solemn news

Today she wakes up
From yet another

and while she chases
s h y r h y m e s
she keeps on scribbling

—blurred lines,
 yet
fearless—

rich with
the anecdotes
Of the time traveller

  1. I’d forgotten what poetry felt like. I’d forgotten what it was to be moved to tears by a handful of lines:
Things unsaid, a screaming, beating heart.
    An apology: never accepted.

  2. VB, this is something else. Wonderful writing and as always, I love how you structure your poetry on the page. There’s so much drama and interest in it.

  3. The structuring as well as the weaving is outstanding. The first four lines…I love your writing. Wow.
